      Description

      This command

      python di.py search times_from_file=[/group_workspaces/jasmin/cis/data/caliop/CAL-LID-L2-05km-APro/*.hdf],bb_from_file=[/group_workspaces/jasmin/cis/data/caliop/CAL-LID-L2-05km-APro/*.hdf] --file-paths

      fails with the error

''NoneType' object has no attribute 'getid''

It turns out that the DI tool can't search using multiple files given by wildcards and so is interpreting this as a filename. When it can't find the file rather than raise a file not found message, an obscure error shows up. This error will be repeatable for any file which doesn't exist, provided it matches one of the data product regular expressions.
